Hi Kate! Hey Everybody! It is Kate’s birthday! Happy Birthday Kate!!! :) Kate is one of the most wonderful girls I know, and she makes life 80 times more hilarious and makes nursing school so much more tolerable! Thanks for being such a wonderful friend, and thank you so much for hanging out with a crazy girl like me! I love you!!! :)

In honour of this wonderful occasion, I made you a birthday cake!!! Just kidding! lol! You live a little bit too far for this, but when we are both in Ottawa, you will definitely be tasting this cake, and a lot of others! I will need someone to eat my food! lol! (I made this one for Mimi’s birthday. She turned 11 on May 9th, hence the 11 candles! In here, you will find skor bits, skor chocolate pieces, broken chuncks of oreo cookies, chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, cool whip, and a lot of whipped vanilla icing!) ♥

Cheers to fun times with wonderful friends! Here is a photo of me, Kate, and her can of beans! lol! And the second one is a photo of us talking to her neighbours right before nursing formal. Holly told us to be careful! Can’t say we weren’t warned! lol! :) Have a fantastic day Kate! I love you!!! ♥
At the library. Because there is no more Internet at my house. Smiling, but definitely glaring inside. Two essays due tomorrow. Let’s get typing! I am telling you, April Fools’ Day was too much this year.
Yup. This picture was taken in 2007. I don’t really have pictures from my childhood on the computer. But when I was young, I looked exactly like Mimi, my little sister in the middle. :)

When in doubt, pick your sister! :)
So that’s us! Plus my mom in the picture above! :)
Since nightgowns don’t count, I last wore a dress on January 28th, the night of the CNSA National Conference Banquet. Voilà! :)

Rumour has it that I smile a lot. And that I have a very nice smile. Sweet! That makes me very happy! :)

Here is a picture of me after Tanya and Juhani’s wedding, very glad to have been able to steal* not only one, but six candy dishes from our table! Score!!! :)
I think that my social life is pretty adequate for a nursing student. Basically my life goes a little something like this:
And that is pretty much it. When I am not in school, I am at home studying. Seriously. However, this week was pretty fabulous! I had a lot of fun! I went to the the Canadian Nursing Students Association (CNSA) National Conference in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I met tons of amazing people, RNs and Nursing Students alike, and learnt tons during the day, and had a whole of fun during the evenings. Here is a sample of our toga night. Now, off to homework! :)

Family, eh? Hummmmm… Well. Yesterday I made a cake for my friend Ivie because she is moving to Toronto this weekend. I went to my room for a few moments and returned shortly there after only to notice that they had started munching on it!
left to right: Kindja (20), Dad, Mimi (10), Mom, Gabriel (12) and Yours truly! :)
lol! So yep, that’s my family. They are absolutely not perfect. Not at all. But you know what? I love them. I love them just the way they are. No body is perfect, and I realize how incredibly blessed and fortunate I am to have them in my life. I love them so much, and I am so thankful that they all love me back. Praise the Lord! ♥
Family Time!!! I miss them already! Loin des yeux mais près du coeur! ♥
Absence makes the heart grow fonder! :)
I have a lot of hopes, dreams, and plans. Not because it is 2012, because I don’t believe in resolutions, but because God is good and the future holds amazing things for us. This year is my final nursing year. I plan on moving into my first apartment in August, so I hope that I will thrive rather than drown once I leave my parents wings. I also hope that myself, my friends and all my loved ones will pass successfully and become brilliant people. I hope that many people will be able to fulfill their dreams and make the world a better place. I pray that I will be a good nurse, and lead people to health rather than sickness. I also hope that all the fruit flies in my house will die soon. Not inspirational, but honest. It’s my blog, right? :)
How about you? Are you hoping for something special this year? Do you have a huge dream that may be fulfilled this year? Or do you have an exciting plan for tomorrow? Getting out of bed totally counts! After all, to keep motivated, they recommend starting with baby steps! :)

Today is my little sister’s birthday. She is my very best friend, and today she is 20 years old. Kindja and I are a power duo. I seriously could not imagine my life without her. I would be incomplete. I wish you nothing but the best in life sweetheart! You have been a huge blessing in my life. I love you! ♥
Cheers to friends! This is a picture of me and Laura at Tanya’s wedding! Such a lovely night! I had forgotten about this pic! :)
Le Cabaret Africain 2011.
Did we ever have a good time? The African Cabaret is a celebration of francophone Africa. We celebrated in Sudbury, Ontario, and as usual, we had an amazing time. I had the opportunity of reuniting with friends that I hadn’t seen in a long time, serving food to members and supporters of Sudbury’s African community, and modeling in the annual fashion show. This night was a night not to miss, and I am so glad that I was a part of this event.
